  • Low flame 25-30 mins (closed lid).

Pressure Cooker Method:

  • Rice 1 cup : 3 cups Water
  • Medium Flame upto two whistles.
  • Low flame 10-15 minutes.

Kullakar rice is an ancient rice variety, cultivated primarily within in India. It is one of the red rice varieties which grows in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, India.This rice is indigenous to India. It grows in sandy clay or clayey sand, and takes between 100-110 days to grow. The fully grown crop can reach 100 centimeters. Different varieties have been adapted to the different soil conditions ranging starting from alkaline soils to sandy soils as well as from drought prone areas to waterlogged areas.This rice is suitable for the preparation of Idli, Dosa ,khichadi and payasam.
